How to measure soil quality and nutrients?

We all have tasks that are just hard to get around to. For all you growers out there, one of these thoughts likely pops up throughout the year: “I should probably test my soil”...“I wonder how good my soil really is?”... “when was the last time I tested my soil?”...and other variations on the same theme. Soil testing can sometimes feel like just one more thing to do. However, it is one of the best, and honestly easiest things you can do to get more satisfaction and health from your garden.
